Training and Resources

This section contains resources and information that will support you in evaluating the work in Place.

Developing a Theory of Change will help you describe and illustrate how and why a desired change is expected to happen in a particular context. See the Theory of Change section and descriptor for further information.

Writing Explanatory Accounts will help you focus more on the differences that have been made, and how and why those differences have been made, rather than focussing on only the initial project outcomes. See the Explanatory Accounts section and guidance for further information.

The guide to Planning and Developing your Place Evaluation will help you to reflect on your local context and consider how you can integrate the Place Evaluation and Learning Approach (PELA) to support your place-based systemic working.

Take a look at the Module Course to develop your understanding of evaluation and learning through guided training sessions.

The Evaluation and Learning Asset Map (ELAM) tool will help you to reflect on, identify and understand your evaluation and learning needs, as well as existing evaluation and learning practices.
